UAB “IT Sistemos” together with its partner UAB “ARS LAB” are implementing an EU structurally funded project No. J05-LVPA-K-03-0116 “Development of nano-structural coatings and sensors array”. The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The amount of funding is 680 716,62 Eur. The total value of the project is 907 478,08 Eur. The aim of the project is to develop electronic-nose-based technologies and to develop an innovative nanostructure coating and to develop an array of sensors that is sensitive (selective) to specific volatile organic compounds using legirants. The objective of the project is to develop an array of small size and low power demand sensors that would be selective for low volatile organic compounds and would be suitable for integration into smart devices. The project will contribute to the prioritized scientific research and experimental (social, cultural) development and innovation development of “New production processes, materials and technologies” and “Functional materials and coatings” prerogatives.

The year of 2017

UAB “IT SISTEMOS” implements the project No. financed by the EU structural funds. J05-LVPA-K-01-0239 “Development of an array system of sensors integrated in refrigerators to determine the level of freshness and spoilage of food”.

After implementing this project, UAB “IT SISTEMOS”, together with its partner UAB “ARS LAB”, will present an innovation to the global market – a sensor array system integrated in refrigerators to determine the level of food freshness. This product will be unique and new on a global scale due to scientific and technological solutions. The concentration of volatile particles inside the refrigerator that are released during food failure will be detected by sensors. As the amount of these particles increases, the consumer will be informed that certain products are no longer fit for consumption or will soon be unfit for consumption. The system will be installed in smart refrigerators connected to the central control system of the refrigerator, and information about the freshness of the products will be displayed on the refrigerator screen or transmitted via Bluetooth to smart devices with a special application installed. With the rapid development of technology and the proliferation of smart devices in everyday life, this solution will be in demand for its functionality. The e-nose will facilitate the maintenance of products in the refrigerator and ensure the health and well-being of consumers, protecting them from poisoning or poor food consumption. The target customers of the innovation are the world’s refrigerator manufacturers, and the target consumers are refrigerator buyers around the world.

The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund

Project cost: 414,795.42 EUR
